Fear the Walking Dead Renewed for Season 6
Fear the Walking Dead is returning to AMC for a sixth season, with the announcement coming at Comic-Con International.
Season 6 of AMC's Fear the Walking Dead has officially been confirmed.
The announcement was made during the Fear the Walking Dead Panel Friday at Comic-Con International.
"Fear the Walking Dead has been renewed for a Season 6," showrunner Scott Gimple revealed. "There's a big secret about TWD universe all these years. All along, there have been other civilizations that survived the apocalypse. We're about to show a lot more of the world in a bunch of different projects. We're working on another series now about young people who grew up behind walls in a first-world situation compared to what we've seen. These kids could stay where they grew up but instead, they leave while being pursued by their adult friends."
A trailer for the second half of Season 5 played next, which featured the core characters seemingly making new enemies.
After The Walking Dead Image Comics series ended, AMC released a statement declaring the TV series would continue to live on. "This extraordinary comic created a world that already lives in multiple forms, and in the hearts and minds of millions of fans around the world, and will for many years to come."
Airing Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC, Fear the Walking Dead stars Lennie James, Colman Domingo, Alexa Nisenson, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Garret Dillahunt, Jenna Elfman, Austin Amelio and Karen David.
