Fear the Walking Dead TWD Season 11 Face Production Delays Due to COVID19

Concerns stemming from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic have resulted in production delays for AMC's Walking Dead family of shows.

Production is already underway on the next season of the spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead. However, in addition to the hiatus already planned for next week, AMC will halt production on Fear for an additional three weeks. This marks only the latest series to suspend production as concern regarding the Coronavirus grows. According to Deadline, AMC aims to restart production on Fear come April 13.

The Walking Dead -- Fear's mother show -- has also been affected by efforts to curb the spread of the virus, with pre-production on the show's upcoming 11th season being pushed back as well. According to AMC, physical production on TWD will be delayed three to four weeks. The Image Comics-based show's writers will continue to work, albeit remotely. The network says it will also delay pre-production the upcoming series Kevin Can F*** Himself for about a month.

The Walking Dead is currently in the midst of its 10th season, which is slated to conclude on April 12. Meanwhile, Fear the Walking Dead was officially renewed for Season 6 this past July, one month after the premiere of Season 5.
