Steven Yeun is a talented Korean American actor best known for his role as Glenn Rhee in AMC’s The Walking Dead. Steven Yeun (pronounced "yun") was born on December 21st, 1983 as Yeun Sang-Yeop. Though his family moved from South Korea to the United States when he was young, Yeun has humorously commented that his parents did not begin to call him "Steven" until they met a doctor by that name.
Proceeding their move from South Korea, his family settled in Troy, Michigan, and Yeun continued to live there until he graduated high school in 2001.

Steven Yeun stands at 5 feet and 9 inches tall. He shares his height with quite a few other fellow cast members on The Walking Dead, including Lennie James, Seth Gilliam, Avi Nash, and Michael Rooker. Yeun first developed a genuine interest in acting while attending his first year of college at Kalamazoo College. He joined the university's improv group, Monkapult, in his Sophomore year, and his interest in turning the hobby into a career option quickly grew.
He graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a focus in neuroscience, but decided that he wanted to move to Chicago to pursue acting instead of going to medical school.

During his time on The Walking Dead, Yeun made lifelong friends with some of the cast, but he also discovered a new hobby. Norman Reedus introduced him to his love of riding motorcycles, and it appears that the actor hasn't looked back.
