Invincible Animated Series Finds Its Justice League in Walking Dead Alums
The Walking Dead alums Lauren Cohan, Michael Cudlitz, Sonequa Martin-Green and more join the cast of Amazon's Invincible animated series.
Amazon Prime Video has added to the voice cast of its upcoming animated adaptation of Invincible. During the Robert Kirkman at Home panel during Comic-Con@Home, Skybound Entertainment announced that The Walking Dead alums Lauren Cohan, Chad Coleman, Michael Cudlitz, Lennie James, Ross Marquand and Sonequa Martin-Green will voice the superhero team called the Guardians of the Globe. The team serves as the Invincible universe's version of the Justice League.
Invincible was created by Kirkman and artist Cory Walker for a series published by Image Comics. After several brief appearances, starting with Tech Jacket #1 (written by Kirkman with artwork by E.J. Su), Invincible was given his own comic book series in 2003, which ran until 2018 with Kirkman as sole writer, ending with the giant-sized Invincible #144 (written by Kirkman, with art by Nathan Fairbairn, Ryan Ottley and Cory Walker).
Developed by showrunner by Simon Racciopa and executive produced by Robert Kirkman, Invincible stars Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson, J.K. Simmons as Nolan Grayson, Sandra Oh as Deborah Grayson, Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve, Mark Hamill as Art, Zazie Beetz as Amber Bennett, Khary Payton as Black Samson, Walton Goggins as Cecil Steadman, Zachary Quinto as Robot, Chris Diamantopolous as Doc Seismic, Jason Mantzoukas as Rex Splode, Grey Griffin as voice Shrinking Rae and Amanda (Monster Girl as Girl), Melise as Dupli-Kate, Andrew Rannells as William Clockwell, Kevin Michael Richardson as Mauler 1 and Mauler 2 and Monster Girl (as Monster) and Seth Rogen as Allen the Alien, with Lauren Cohan as War Woman, Chad Coleman as Martian Man, Michael Cudlitz as Red Rush, Lennie James as Darkwing, Ross Marquand as The Immortal and Aquarius and Sonequa Martin-Green as Green Ghost. The series arrives on Amazon Prime Video later this year.
