Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Exclusive Sneak Peek Breaks & Divides the Cast

CBR's exclusive preview of Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 teases how the characters will react to Virginia's mission to split them up.

Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 ended with its cast of characters defeated by the ruthless Virginia, who forced them to split up into various communities that she ran with an iron fist. Judging by CBR's exclusive sneak peek at Season 6, this experience has shaken them to their core, even as they attempt to rebuild.

In the extended look at Season 6, showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg teased what fans should expect when the series returns on Oct. 11. The Season 5 finale saw Morgan gravely wounded and left to die at the hands of a horde of walkers, while the other characters have been separated into groups they would normally not be paired into.

Since the ensemble cast has been separated this way, the showrunners decided to employ a different storytelling style. Each episode will focus on a different pairing, rather than switching between the various characters as they regain their bearings following the group's forced dissolution. While Morgan's final fate and the group's reunion (despite Virginia's wishes) weren't confirmed, the upcoming season is poised to unleash a new wave of bloody mayhem.

Premiering Sunday, Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC, Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 is executive produced by Scott M.Gimple and showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, as well as Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Gale Anne Hurd and Greg Nicotero.
