Fear the Walking Dead Exclusive Clip Teases an Explosive End for Morgan

When Fear the Walking Dead returns on Sunday, August 11, the series will go where the franchise has never gone before -- into the world of documentary filmmaking. However, one of the show's cast may not survive the experience.

In an exclusive clip from the series' mid-season debut, Morgan (Lennie James) and John (Garret Dillahunt) are on a rescue mission, but with a twist. The two are being filmed by several of their fellow survivors, documentary-style. We see Morgan take off toward a small house, intent on rescuing its inhabitants, only to find himself in serious trouble when he steps on a landmine.

As for whether Morgan survives his brush with explosives, we'll have to tune into AMC to find out. In the meantime, check out CBR's exclusive scene and the episode's official synopsis below.

The group, traveling in a convoy, doubles-down on their mission to help survivors. In an effort to encourage more survivors to reach out, Al, Luciana, and Charlie document Morgan and the gang on a dangerous mission to help a reclusive survivor.

Fear the Walking Dead is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, as well as Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Gale Anne Hurd and Greg Nicotero. The series stars Lennie James, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Garret Dillahunt, Maggie Grace, Jenna Elfman, Alexa Nisenson, Austin Amelio, Ruben Blades and Karen David.

Stephen Gerding has been a part of CBR for over fifteen years, starting as a part-time freelancer in 2005 and working his way up to his current role as Senior News Editor. Over the years, he's been involved in the site's multiple Eisner Award wins, wile helping to define its voice and visual look. He's also seen the site go through multiple changes, including the launch of the Eisner Award-winning Robot 6 blog, expanding from covering comics to all aspects of pop culture, and the biggest evolution when it transformed from Comic Book Resources to CBR. Stephen has been reading comics for as long as he's been, well, reading. After nearly a decade of stealing copies of classic comics by Kirby, Lee, Swan, Fox, Romita and more from his father's collection, his love of comics fully kicked in when he bought Avengers #232 from a spinner rack at Seven-Eleven. Eventually, when the opportunity arose to actually write about comics, it was a no-brainer. That he's still able to do so years later is a dream come true.
